Procurement Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to drive business growth by developing and executing strategic procurement plans. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in procuring high-quality materials, managing supplier relationships, and mitigating supply risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct materials, such as raw materials, packaging, and indirect categories (MRO, logistics, CAPEX).
  • Identify, Evaluate, and Onboard Suppliers: Identify, evaluate, and onboard local/global suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Supplier Management:

  • Negotiate Contracts and Manage Supplier Relationships: Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and conduct performance reviews (QCD: Quality, Cost, Delivery).
  • Mitigate Supply Risks: Mitigate supply risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost Optimization:

  • Analyze Market Trends and Implement Cost-Saving Programs: Analyze market trends, conduct TCO analysis, and implement cost-saving programs without compromising quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Align with R&D, Production, and Logistics Teams: Align with R&D, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and inventory control.
  • Coordinate with HQ: Coordinate with headquarters on global procurement policies and supply chain integration.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. Master's/MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in procurement/sourcing, preferably in manufacturing, construction materials, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in managing end-to-end procurement cycles and supplier development.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools.
  • Languages: Mandatory: Fluency in English. Mandatory: Professional proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) to communicate with headquarters and Chinese suppliers.
