Job Description

This role is pivotal to our strategic initiative of creating business value through mastery of formulation in the Pet Nutrition domain. The job holder will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on quality and cost-saving opportunities linked to raw materials and formulation across various product portfolios.

The key responsibilities include executing recipes for each production site, ensuring compliance with corresponding regulations and existing raw material supply, while guaranteeing nutritional compliance, adherence to MARS Q&FS standards, product performance, and proper manufacturing feasibility at the best cost.

The job holder will provide technical expertise regarding formulation systems, offer guidance, and support related efficiency, quality, and innovation projects with efficient recipe design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for regular optimization of existing formulations to improve cost, quality, performance, while ensuring food safety, nutrition, and legal requirements for the corresponding technology of the factory of responsibility.
  • Effective management of project risks and informing stakeholders involved.
  • Coodination of the formulation efficiency program, communicating opportunities with key stakeholders of supply chain, finance, and R&D teams, leading change management for successful implementation of changes among the region.
  • Providing expertise thought leadership in your field and working with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues, problems, and solutions.
  • Ongoing anticipation and identification of new ingredients/formulation opportunities/technologies related to efficiency needs.
