This role is key to our strategy of generating business value through mastering on formulation Pet Nutrition business, being responsible for identifying and capitalizing quality and/or cost saving opportunities linked to raw materials and formulation across the product portfolios.
- Is the responsible to execute recipes for each production site with the corresponding regulation and existing raw material supply, while assuring the nutritional compliance, MARS Q&FS standards compliance (applied to formulations requirements), product performance on target and proper manufacturing feasibility at the best cost.
- The job holder has the technical expertise regarding formulation systems, providing technical guidance, expertise, supporting the related efficiency, quality and innovation projects with the most efficient recipe design
**What are we looking for?**:
- Strong knowledge in food/feed/petfood formulation and nutritional content of raw materials.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes used to produce feed and petfood ingredients.
- Strong ability to work in multicultural teams and with people coming from different discipline and business areas.
- Excellent data management & analysis skills
- Good command in English (verbal and written).
- Previous experience with formulation software preferred.
- Knowledge in animal nutrition preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in project management skills and capability to lead cross-functional projects preferred
**What will be your key responsibilities?**:
- Responsible for the regular optimisation of existing formulations to improve cost, quality, performance, while ensuring food safety, nutrition and legal requirements for the corresponding technology of the factory of responsibility.
- Responsible to effectively managing project risks and to inform and influence the stakeholders involved
- Responsible to coordinate the formulation efficiency program, properly communicating the opportunities with key stakeholders of supply chain, finance and R&D teams, leading the change management for sucessfull implementation of changes among the region.
- Provide expertise thought leadership In your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and Interpretation to Identify Issues, problems and solutions. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor
- Often the associate is close enough to regional business strategies and raw material market understanding to generate ideas by close collaboration/discussion with commercial. Also, influencing and ensuring the compliance of quality standards requirements for formulations compliance.
- Proactively anticipate and identify new ingredients/ formulation opportunities/ technologies related to efficiency needs
- This position requires a moderated level of independence and self-responsibility
