Regional Operations Director


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Operations Director to lead our regional operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of regional data operations services, managing departmental functions, and ensuring the accurate transcription and handling of E&P data.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage regional operations strategies
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and negotiate service costs to support growth and profitability
  • Foster client satisfaction through proactive communication, follow-ups, and in-person meetings to strengthen relationships and drive revenue
  • Establish and maintain efficient workflows, prioritize tasks, optimize resource allocation, and approve departmental expenditures
  • Oversee performance and career development for staff, including hiring, retention, coaching, disciplinary actions, and recognition
  • Deliver hands-on training for regional staff on proprietary software and technical tools
  • Partner with the HSE team to uphold a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with documentation, training, and reporting standards

Requirements:

  • Strong commitment to promoting a safety-first work environment
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate client needs to department heads and senior management
  • Accountability for operational outcomes and a strong sense of ownership in meeting performance goals
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, geosciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the E&P industry
  • In-depth knowledge of E&P data management practices and standards
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a technical or operational setting

Benefits:

  • This is a full-time position, eligible for regional benefits offered to employees
  • Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • The Operations Manager may be required to travel to attend off-site meetings or errands, mileage will be reimbursed at the current regional rate

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager oversees all local operations departments and is responsible for delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports to senior management.
