This is a dynamic opportunity to work with private and government contracts. The position involves specializing in language and media monitoring services.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and track online news sources and hardcopy newspapers to select news content based on customer-specific requirements and guidelines.
- Identify patterns and trends in reporting within the media and the press.
- Deliver concise summaries of selected Brazilian news content in English.
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Uphold high accuracy and objectivity in content selection, summarization, and writing.
- Collaborate with colleagues for timely delivery of news updates.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English studies, international affairs, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in roles involving news curation, content selection, or journalism with exposure to English writing.
- Proficiency in both English and Portuguese with strong English writing and communication skills and superior Portuguese comprehension skills.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to assess news relevance and importance.
- Ability to adapt to changing news cycles and evolving customer needs.
- Familiarity with Brazilian, Regional, and U.S. foreign policy.
- Familiarity with prominent Brazilian, Regional, and international print and broadcast news sources.
Must be proficient in using social media platforms to search for trending topics.
Must have knowledge of Brazilian and Regional events.
