Solutions Development Manager

About the Role
As a Solutions Development Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the early stages of client projects. Your role involves understanding complex client needs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions. You will work closely with clients to identify their requirements, develop project proposals, and lead the first phase of the client journey. This includes working alongside Tech Leads to facilitate whiteboard sessions, translating ambiguous client needs into actionable requirements, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and owning the creation of proposals and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead client discovery and whiteboard sessions alongside a Tech Lead.
* Translate ambiguous client needs into clear, actionable requirements.
* Build a strong rapport with business and technical stakeholders.
* Own the creation of proposals, timelines, and solution outlines.
* Collaborate with Sales, UX, QA, and Engineering on scoping.
* Identify constraints, risks, and edge cases early in the conversation.
* Break down solutions into project phases and feature groupings.
* Document deliverables: process flows, vision docs, feature sets.
* Validate requirements with internal teams before client delivery.
* Present project proposals with clarity, confidence, and empathy.
* Facilitate handoffs to delivery teams after proposal acceptance.

Skills and Qualifications
This position requires a proven background in consulting or custom software delivery environments, experience in mid-sized or growth-stage tech firms, and a strong history of working with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to influence pre-sales process improvements. A Consulting Mindset and strong Emotional Intelligence are essential for success in this role.
