Overview:

As a pivotal figure in the management of clinical trials, you will oversee the comprehensive coordination and execution of projects from initiation to completion. Your role encompasses directing both the technical and operational elements of clinical studies, ensuring that all deliverables align with client expectations regarding timelines, quality, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead designated studies in accordance with established timelines and quality benchmarks. Facilitate collaboration among all functional departments and external vendors involved in the project. Utilize PPD tools to develop implementation plans and guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and PPD, ensuring effective communication of project updates, fiscal information, and protocol interpretations.
  • Organize and communicate specific tasks and priorities to team members, delegating responsibilities as appropriate. Collaborate with managers across all functional areas to enhance team performance.
  • Oversee all financial and contractual dimensions of the study, including managing subcontractor relationships and ensuring accurate invoicing.
  • Work closely with project teams to establish controls that align resources and expenses with budgetary constraints. Collaborate with management to negotiate contract modifications as necessary.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, performance evaluation, and training of project staff across various functions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at client meetings as the designated Project Manager, participating in bid defenses when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management or a related area, demonstrating the necessary skills and knowledge for this role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in cross-functional project management principles, particularly in terms of time, quality, and cost.
  • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating cross-functional project teams, with a solid understanding of clinical research and development.
