Robotics Innovation Engineer

The role involves pioneering humanoid robotics technology, crafting cutting-edge locomotion and behaviors for next-generation robots. Key responsibilities include designing complex tasks and environments in simulation software, training policies using reinforcement learning, and deploying on physical humanoids.

Division Overview
  • Embodied AI and autonomous systems development across various platforms.
  • Full development cycle from simulation to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop intricate tasks and environments, including obstacle courses and complex locomotion.
  • Train and refine policies with RL/IL libraries and GPU-parallel RL tools.
  • Explore advanced approaches like diffusion policies, transformer-based control, and real-time systems.
  • Minimize the Sim2Real gap through domain randomization and staged deployment.
  • Integrate with ROS 2 and NVIDIA's robotics stack for seamless orchestration.
  • Orchestrate complex behaviors with BehaviorTree.CPP/Groot and experiment with Isaac GR00T.
  • Measure and iterate with reproducible pipelines, dashboards, and design documentation.
Requirements
  • Strong foundations in Machine Learning (ML) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) with hands-on experience in PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with the NVIDIA Isaac ecosystem and legacy environments.
  • ROS 2 skills, including ros2_control, lifecycle nodes, planning, and perception integration.
  • Experience with Sim2Real expertise, including domain randomization and safe hardware deployment.
  • Engineering best practices, such as version control, containerization, reproducibility, and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a robotics lab environment.

  • Legged locomotion experience with humanoid control tasks.
  • MuJoCo-based RL workflows for algorithm prototyping and benchmarking.
  • Advanced policy architectures – Diffusion/Transformer policies for robotics applications.
