Our Investment Approach

We invest in all major asset classes, including public equity, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and fixed-income instruments. Our investment approach is focused on generating long-term returns while managing risk and ensuring the sustainability of the CPP Fund.

Internship Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for an Intern to join our Pool of Interns as part of our Latin America investment team. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, the Intern will be part of a Pool of Interns that plays a key role in multiple projects covering different departments working across our Active Equities Latin America and Real Assets groups.

Responsibilities

  • Support research and analysis to evaluate and identify investment opportunities, including past and projected financial performance, quality of management teams, investment merits and risks, expected returns, regulatory environment, industry dynamics, and other relevant factors.
  • Support team in performing valuation analysis, including DCF models, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis, and relative value compared with the benchmark.
  • Support team in reviewing third-party due diligence reports (legal, accounting, industry strategic reviews, environmental, etc.).
  • Assist in drafting and presenting investment recommendations, taking into account due diligence and analysis of opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining financial models for portfolio companies, updating models with quarterly results, updating forecast and valuation assumptions.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and key events.
  • Support ongoing financial performance analyses of industry peers.
  • Assist in evaluating potential exit strategies.

Requirements

  • You are in your final or penultimate year of study.
  • High levels of academic performance and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong research, analytical, problem-solving skills, ability to think creatively, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and advanced English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
