Machine Operator Job Description

The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining production equipment. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ensuring that products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating and monitoring production equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and making minor repairs to production equipment as needed.
  • Following safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience operating production equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and equipment monitoring.
