Software Product Development Manager

This role serves as the bridge between cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and R&D. The Software Product Development Manager partners with product owners to refine requirements and distribute work into logical customer-valued deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leads planning and execution of complex projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of software products.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional software development teams to prioritize, plan, track, and execute complex, cross-organizational programs.
  • Analyzes program performance, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections on issues affecting release, scope, schedule, and quality of highly visible complex programs.
  • Continuously assesses and improves processes that comprise the software development lifecycle.
  • Promotes technical leadership and guidance to ensure solutions meet quality and performance standards.
  • Communicates project status, progress, and challenges through regular reporting and presentations to stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in developing commercial software products using agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in managing cross-organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for engineering development.
  • Able to analyze and solve complex problems within large-scale systems.
  • Familiarity with a controlled software release process involving a product lifecycle management tool.
