Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and operations, with expertise in threat modelling and risk management frameworks.

The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing and evolving our Security Operation Center, analysing and improving our security architecture, and evaluating and selecting new security tools and practices.

Key responsibilities include identifying and containing security threats, guiding remediation efforts, and growing the presence and thought leadership of our SecOps practice.

  • Evaluate and select new security tools and practices
  • Analyse and improve Canonical's security architecture
  • Implement and evolve Canonical's Security Operation Center
  • Grow the presence and thought leadership of Canonical SecOps practice

As a Security Operations Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives and contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security operations, threat modelling, and risk management, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
