We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related technical field, with experience in software development using COBOL and Natural programming languages. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively in a remote environment, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

The role requires the ability to design and model ADABAS databases, optimize and fine-tune JCL job performance, and perform debugging and troubleshooting of complex routines.

  • Maintain and support core systems, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity incidents promptly.
  • Implement enhancements for both batch and online processes.
  • Assist in release stabilization and deployment activities.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining applications using COBOL and Natural programming languages.
  • Optimizing and fine-tuning JCL job performance.
  • Designing and modeling ADABAS databases.
  • Performing debugging and troubleshooting of complex routines.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in software development using COBOL and Natural programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications

It would be beneficial if you had experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices, as well as certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP).
