Legal Entity Accountant Role Overview

As a Legal Entity Accountant, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial information from transaction to financial close. You will be responsible for all accounting processes, ensuring effective, efficient, and regulatory compliant finance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit statutory books in compliance with local requirements
  • Collaborate with external consultants to ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and fiscal requirements
  • Manage statutory compliance and external financial audits
  • Accounting and financial close related activities including year-end and ongoing activities
  • Ensure the integrity of internal financial controls
  • Liaison with local management
  • Drive projects and process improvement initiatives

Additionally, this role is instrumental in supporting the implementation and maintenance of requisite financial policies, risk control procedures, standard operating procedures, and internal control measures under the guidance of the Legal Entity Controller.

Financial Statement Preparation
  • Assemble and support the facilitation of all necessary components of the LE financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements
  • Maintain local chart of accounts and check that all entries are in line with Local GAAP
  • Analyze all accounts and prepare monthly and year-end entries for statutory requirements as appropriate
  • Prepare reconciliation between local and US GAAP for all entities
  • Support the preparation and submission of Tax filings within the required timeframe
Reporting and Compliance
  • Develop internal reporting packages and other necessary financial reporting documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide necessary support in preparing documentation and information for audit requests related to legal entities
  • Prepare legal entity actuals variance analysis to track and explain fluctuations in financial numbers
  • Escalate any issues or potential complications concerning complex accounting matters to the Legal Entity Controller for prompt resolution
QualificationsEducation
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Management
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting/Business with leadership, problem-solving, process improvement, and communication skills
  • Proficient spoken and written use of English and Italian languages
