Job Overview

The Americas Operation Center Environmental & Employee Services team is responsible for all operational purchasing activities in the region, related to environmental and employee services.

This role supports all purchasing activities and category buyers at ContiTech IAM plants, including:

  • Environmental & Employee Services - Consulting, HR, Finance, and Environmental Services
  • Supporting negotiations, identifying synergies, and ensuring compliance with valid rules within given thresholds
  • Preparing and conducting tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects
  • Creating and compiling Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensuring BPBoC and NDA signatures, collecting financial and commercial records, and identifying vendors
  • Ensuring agreements are created, approved, and signed, and communicating with plants within the region

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all purchasing activities and category buyers at CT IAM plants
  • Supporting negotiations considering best commercial and operational aspects and ensure compliance with valid ruleswithin given thresholds
  • Supporting identification of potential synergies where and whenever possible
  • Ensuring full coverage of all business requirements in received offers
  • Supporting contractual coverage
  • Supporting operational improvements by negotiating commercial benefits
  • Keeping alignment between purchasing category buyers and leads and internal customer strategy
  • Completing handling of the ordering process via CTOS and SAP, including complaints handling and internal and external communication
  • Preparing and conducting tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects in cooperation with Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager
  • Creating and compiling Sourcing Decisions Sheets if required, ensuring BPBoC and NDA signatures, collecting financial and commercial records, identifying and developing vendors
  • Ensuring that agreements are created, approved, and signed, and communicating to plants inside the region
  • Supporting and managing special projects
  • Acting as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
  • Monitoring and advising on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
  • Providing analysis on costs, new and existing, and reviewing cost reduction activities
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers
  • Supporting on contracts negotiation, price improvement, and terms of business with suppliers, and reviewing opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
  • Ensuring compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process
  • Evaluating suppliers and contributing to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
