The role of Technical Pricing Analyst is to shape sustainable transport solutions for the future by leveraging expertise in pricing models and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and engineering, with advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
Job DescriptionThis position plays a crucial part in Volvo's Service Contracts area, which oversees the financial and operational aspects of service contracts. As a key team member, you will work closely with the commercial division, dealership network, and customers throughout Latin America to provide robust support and drive business growth.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and improving the technical pricing process and tools for Volvo Trucks and Buses service contracts, ensuring adherence to local and global policies and best practices.
- Supporting service contract price analysts from other Volvo markets in Latin America to implement best practices in processes and tools for technical price calculation and contract formation/review.
- Providing guidance and training to the commercial area and Brazilian dealer network on the quotation process for service contracts.
- Developing and implementing statistical methods to identify, monitor, and analyze potential technical risks associated with service contracts.
- Working with service contract portfolio managers to manage the health of the portfolio and implement corrective actions to recover deviating contracts.
You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing reported costs to identify potential product quality issues and informing related areas. Additionally, you will continually work towards improving the statistical validity and efficiency of all modeling, projection processes, and techniques while delivering projects into the wider pricing arena to agreed timescales.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to recognize patterns in data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
- A customer-focused approach, with a commercial mindset and a strong understanding of the service contracts business.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, with advanced level Spanish considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with experience in creating complex models and reports.
