Head of Legal for LATAM

**ROLE OVERVIEW**

Gympass is a leading corporate wellness platform that connects employees to thousands of fitness and wellness partners through a single monthly membership. As a fast-growing global company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal for LATAM to join our Legal team in Brazil.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, providing responsive legal advice to further the company's business and protect its interests;
  • Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements;
  • Identify and mitigate risks and causes of legal contingencies or exposures;
  • Manage the LATAM legal team and keep the General Counsel apprised of key matters;
  • Create and implement procedures for contract management, organization, and documentation;
  • Adopt preventive measures to avoid legal contingencies and disputes in all areas of law;
  • Establish and manage a competitive budget according to the company's business and keep costs controlled.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

  • Law degree and license to practice law;
  • Experience with B2B contracts, data privacy, and compliance (Tech/startup experience preferred);
  • Fluent English (written and spoken), Spanish skills a plus;
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear manner;
  • Ability to work collaboratively across LATAM countries and other regions;
  • Solid judgment and business acumen, particularly in determining the significance of legal issues in the context of business goals;
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and efficient;
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects;
  • Able to work accurately with an appropriate sense of urgency and function effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility.
