Job Opportunity

The Site Reliability Engineer is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the reliability and resilience of our infrastructure and systems.

This involves collaborating with engineering teams to improve availability, analyzing development decisions to understand their impact on key reliability metrics, and creating documentation related to all systems/solutions in their area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with other engineering teams to enhance the availability, reliability, and resilience of our infrastructure and systems.
  • Analyze development decisions to comprehend how they affect key reliability metrics, measured by Service Level Objectives and error budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure they are developing for reliability and resilience.
  • Help teams identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high-impact issues.
  • Practice sustainable incident response, facilitate incident resolution, and perform blameless postmortems.
  • Develop and maintain required documentation related to all systems/solutions in their area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting systems and infrastructure.
  • Software development background with the ability to analyze and understand existing code.
  • Familiarity with microservice-based architecture.
  • Proven experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, New Relic).
  • Understanding of continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows-based containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code software (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with Log Management tools (Graylog, ELK).
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP layer infrastructure.
  • Business Analysis experience.
  • Flexibility to work with departments in different time zones.
