Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position with a flexible work model.

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer are required for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong experience with NodeJS, specifically NestJS, including implementing backend functions to support front-end features and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL (or any relational database): writing SQL queries, making database changes, and querying data efficiently.
  • A solid understanding of unit and integration testing using Jest, guaranteeing high-quality code.

Awareness of the following technologies is a significant advantage:

  • AWS and Terraform.
  • GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities:

Closely collaborate with front-end developers to support feature development, focusing on backend implementation and delivering results.

Responsible for building robust backend functions that feed into the UI, enhancing user experience.

Manage database queries and updates effectively.

Write tests to ensure stability and reliability, fostering trust in the system.

Work alongside the DevOps team to ensure code is properly deployed using GitHub Actions, maintaining a smooth workflow.
