  • To ensure that all work related to DCS and communications systems is carried out safely and with due regard to security of access equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Control Access to Radio, Satellite, Internal Communications, DCS, ICSS, SCADA Equipment: Ensure secure and controlled access to critical equipment.
  • Maintain Communications, DCS, ICSS, SCADA Equipment and Software: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor Physical Condition of Radio, DCS, ICSS, and SCADA Equipment: Regularly inspect equipment to prevent potential issues and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Recover System Integrity: Restore system functionality in case of disruptions or failures.
  • Monitor and Advise on System Changes: Provide expert input on system modifications to ensure they align with operational requirements.
  • Contribute to Health & Safety of Working Environment: Participate in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Carry Out Emergency Response Role: Respond promptly to emergencies and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties assigned by superiors to ensure efficient operation of the unit.
Requirements
  • EXTENSIVE Experience of Siemens PCS7: Demonstrated expertise in using Siemens PCS7 systems is essential.
  • Desirable Experiences: Additional skills and qualifications include: experience with computerized maintenance recording systems (Workmate), ability to use diagnostic software and equipment, good communication skills in English, proven experience or qualification in electrical/instrumentation/electronics, MOC Certificate, minimum 3 years' experience with offshore experience preferred, good experience with Permit To Work, Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment techniques, knowledge of local regulations (basic and operational maintenance) (PSE, NORSOC NR etc), experience and knowledge of process and hydrocarbon systems and utilities desirable.
