Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Pinda (PDO) unit production and materials handling area at LyondellBasell Industries. As a key member of our local leadership team, you will drive performance in production and material handling, promoting benchmarks and challenging the status quo to inspire and identify opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Performance Management
Act as a key member of the local leadership team to drive performance in production and material handling, ensuring a healthy, profitable, and safe operating environment.
Operational ExcellencePromote benchmarks and challenge the status quo to inspire and identify opportunities for improvement, minimizing costs and increasing operational efficiency.
Training and DevelopmentEngage in dialogue and coaching, ensuring training for your workgroup by identifying needs and promoting individual development.
Compliance and Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with general business principles and company policies, overseeing the unit's production and materials handling program, optimizing processes and quality assurance.
Performance Indicators and ObjectivesContribute to achieving unit objectives and strive for excellence in performance indicators, minimizing operating costs, reducing losses, and increasing operational efficiency.
Management Programs and CultureLead the execution of various management programs, spreading the culture of Operational Excellence and GoalZero Safety Performance, and developing improvement projects at all process stages in pursuit of operational excellence.
Technical and Operational SupportProvide technical and operational support to the industrial management of the Pindamonhangaba plant.
Requirements- Education and Experience
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Engineering, or related areas, with experience in industrial environments and coordination/management positions in manufacturing companies.
Language and SkillsAdvanced/Fluent English, knowledge of tools (APQP, FMEA, MASP), and knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949.
Preferred QualificationsPostgraduate degree and/or MBA in Industrial Management, basic computer skills (ERP Datasul, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience in industrial processes, people management, and problem-solving in multidisciplinary teams.
