Operations Supervisor Job Description

A highly skilled Operations Supervisor will oversee last mile logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-efficient parcel distribution through partner carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily logistics operations to ensure efficient parcel delivery through partner carriers.
  • Monitor daily performance, investigate anomalies, and implement corrective actions to maintain service quality.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, delivery success rate, and transit times.
  • Develop data-driven insights using dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Build relationships with partner carriers to ensure high-quality service levels meet company standards.
  • Document best practices for last mile logistics operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in delivery operations.
  • Lead proactive issue resolution, ensuring seamless communication between teams and timely escalation of critical cases.
  • Support the development of strategic logistics plans aligning infrastructure with business growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in last mile logistics operations, preferably in e-commerce and/or express logistics.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, carrier coordination, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of express delivery models and their operational challenges.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs, identify risks, and drive process improvements through data insights.
  • Willingness to visit field operations, engage with carriers, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Quick analytical thinking to address operational challenges and implement preventive measures.
  • Experience in leading and executing logistics projects, working cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
  • Mandatory fluency in English. Portuguese and Spanish are a plus.
