Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing labor litigation, administrative and judicial proceedings, and labor advisory matters across Latin America.

  • Manage the full labor portfolio, including judicial and administrative proceedings, individual and collective actions, class actions and settlements.
  • Provide preventive labor law advisory to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Brazilian and LATAM regulations.
  • Actively support programs related to prevention of occupational disease and health & safety matters in collaboration with HR and EHS.
  • Monitor and analyze litigation trends, KPIs, and data to identify risks, optimize outcomes, and propose process improvements.
  • Manage and oversee external law firms and litigation budgets, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
  • Ensure proper use of litigation management systems and accurate reporting of cases and provisions.
  • Support regional and global compliance and audit requirements related to labor and employment.
  • Represent the Legal Department in negotiations with unions, labor authorities, and the Ministry of Labor or Public Prosecutor's Office.
  • Availability to travel as required to support LATAM operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law and active license to practice in Brazil.
  • Specialization and strong previous experience in Labor Law are mandatory requirements.
  • Master's degree in Labor Law is desirable.
  • Solid experience managing judicial and administrative labor proceedings and providing labor law advisory.
  • Professional background in multinational companies, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Experience working with data management and process management systems are mandatory.
  • Proven ability to manage external law firms and control legal spend.
  • Strong business orientation and ability to partner with HR, EHS, and business leaders.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is desirable for broader LATAM scope.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate across diverse cultures.
  • Availability to travel within Latin America.
