Job Title: Distributed Training Specialist

">We're seeking an experienced Distributed Training Specialist to lead our efforts in training large language models using distributed computing techniques. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing sharding strategies and multi-node orchestration, as well as optimizing throughput and managing checkpoints at scale.
">The successful candidate will work closely with MLOps, infrastructure, and model developers to create efficient, resilient, and reproducible training runs. Key responsibilities include owning the architecture and maintenance of our distributed training pipeline, training LLMs using various tools, and collaborating with researchers to bring their training scripts into production shape.
">Requirements for this role include expertise in distributed training, a strong background in PyTorch, experience with the Hugging Face stack, and a solid understanding of infra components like GPUs, containers, and job schedulers. Additionally, the candidate should possess a resilience mindset, ensuring code can checkpoint, resume, log correctly, and continue running even when things go wrong.
">Bonus points will be awarded to candidates with experience working with Kubernetes-based GPU clusters and Ray, experiment tracking (MLflow, W&B), and mixed precision, ZeRO stages, and model parallelism. Proficiency in CLI tooling, profiling, logging, and telemetry is also desirable.
