Climate Analytics Data Scientist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced data scientist to join our dynamic team in the climate analytics department. The successful candidate will work on building a range of features and data services, from exploratory prototypes to robust production implementations.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or adjacent roles, with a strong programming skills in Python and ability to design dashboards and visualizations that communicate insights effectively.

The role requires excellent communication skills with a talent for data storytelling, intellectual curiosity, and ability to adapt quickly to new problem spaces.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or adjacent roles
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Computational Statistics, or a related technical field
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Proven data analysis and statistics foundation
  • Experience designing dashboards and visualizations that communicate insights effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with a talent for data storytelling
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to adapt quickly to new problem spaces
