Key Responsibilities- Content Creation: Develop and produce insightful market reporting, in-depth focus pieces, and interviews to drive market engagement and visibility in the battery raw materials/energy transition markets.
- Market Analysis: Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform content strategy and drive business growth.
- Price Development: Work with the broader business to plan engagement and help lead the Energy Transitions team to engage with market participants and exchanges, leveraging our insight to deliver commodities expertise and knowledge to our customers.
- Content Coordination: Produce, coordinate, and edit a range of strategic content in a joined-up approach across markets and geographies for maximum impact.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor reporters, giving strategic and functional direction to the team, and assess and approve prices for certain strategic markets as required.
- Brand Ambassador: Align strategic content with marketing, and across customer interfaces: editorial, events, client presentations, and meetings, and burnish our reputation for market-leading expertise and insight by serving as a brand ambassador at Fastmarkets' and other events.
- Strong Journalism Skills: Possess strong journalism skills and writing flair, with a network of contacts and strong industry relations, ideally in the battery raw materials field.
- Experience in PRA: Have experience working in a PRA and pricing a benchmark, or developing prices, with deep knowledge of the battery raw materials market or associated markets.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate the ability to think critically and strategically about the long-term goals of the organization, with a visionary mindset to identify new business opportunities and trends.
- Market Analysis: Possess strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, with data-driven decision-making to guide product development and market positioning.
- Business Acumen: Have comprehensive understanding of the business, industry, and economic factors that impact growth, with financial literacy to assess the viability and profitability of new initiatives.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams that aren't direct reports, with decisiveness and the ability to make tough decisions for the benefit of the organization.
