Position Overview: Project Coordinator

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development and execution of projects, including the creation of project plans and task lists while identifying the needs of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

  • Formulate project plans and task lists utilizing appropriate planning tools, collaborating with various functional teams and drawing on insights from experienced colleagues.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Recognize key stakeholders across different functional areas and effectively map stakeholder lists.
  • With guidance, assess stakeholder needs to ensure they remain informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication

  • Engage with a broader audience of stakeholders beyond the immediate project team.
  • Utilize communication tools and templates (e.g., emails, status reports) that require approval and feedback from senior colleagues.

Risk Management

  • Compile a comprehensive list of project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Seek support when necessary to manage risks effectively.

Project Delivery

  • Develop and execute projects for your functional team and assist with cross-functional initiatives.

Resource Management

  • Create schedules based on team availability and identify potential issues that may need escalation.

Customer Care (if applicable)

  • Oversee mid-level complexity customer deployments.
  • Draft and communicate straightforward project plans for standard milestones.
  • Possess a general understanding of Equinix products and processes.
  • Coordinate activities among cross-functional teams to ensure commitments are fulfilled.
  • Handle mid-level escalations independently, seeking managerial assistance when necessary.
  • Resolve standard issues independently, with complex issues requiring managerial support.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Prior experience in IT project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications such as PMI, PMO, or ITIL.
  • Experience in IT project management.
