Job Description

The Aviation Security and Regulatory Compliance (AvSec) team is seeking an Experienced Security Leader to provide leadership, support, and oversight of in-house screening operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and establishing risk-based security standards, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, corporate policies, and standardized processes.

This key role will support the organization in identifying and mitigating risk to people, assets, brand, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will ensure that the organization is prepared to properly respond to various security-related threats, emergencies, and escalations.

The position requires strong leadership skills, knowledge, and ability to influence change and drive desired outcomes in a matrix-structured organization. The candidate should be able to independently manage through ambiguity and handle changing priorities, effectively prioritizing, multitasking, and exercising good judgment.

The team is committed to building a robust Security Management System (SeMS) that addresses the principles of risk mitigation and continuous improvement. The foundation of the organization and the risk mitigation and continuous improvement programs are built on these principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in one of the following disciplines: aviation security, transportation/supply chain operations, or corporate security management.
  • Effective communications, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
  • Certification(s) in Security Operations.
  • Aviation security experience; Aviation Regulatory Security Compliance experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to independently manage through ambiguity and handle changing priorities.
  • Experience with physical security control and/or surveillance systems.
