Accounting Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to lead our team of bookkeepers and oversee daily deliverables.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who's an expert in financial management, thrives in a remote environment, and enjoys mentoring others to operational excellence.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of bookkeepers, overseeing daily tasks, performing quality control, and serving as a key escalation point for client accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach, and mentor 2–3 bookkeepers while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Perform regular quality reviews and coach staff on best practices, including client-specific standards.
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance check-ins, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience (U.S. or Canadian clients preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience managing accounting/bookkeeping teams.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (desktop knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience using Asana, Slack, Zoom, and G Suite tools.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax systems and reconciliation processes is a major plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and problem-solve autonomously.
  • Strong understanding of remote work environments and digital workflows.
