Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Director of Nursing to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our surgical center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

The Director of Nursing will manage multiple aspects of the center, overseeing the daily schedule and assignments, managing human resources activities, and collaborating with other departments to achieve our goals.

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of infection control practices and ensure staff adherence.
  • Analyze data and report on mandatory state reporting.
  • Oversee quality assurance and related activities.
  • Collaborate with the materials manager and sterile processing department to evaluate instruments and patient safety.
  • Manage staff orientation and education, as well as maintain educational records.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships.
  • Participate in established committees and serve as backup safety officer.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and professional nurse in the state.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field required.
  • BLS certification and ACLS certifications required.
  • Knowledge of AAAHC, federal, and state requirements for Ambulatory Surgi-Centers.
  • Prior healthcare management experience.
  • Perioperative nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of admitting and discharging patients.
  • CNOR and ASORN preferred.
