Solutions Architect Role Overview

The Solutions Architect role at Hexagon Mining is a key position that involves designing and implementing complex technical solutions to suit our clients' needs within the fleet management domain.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and create secure and observable solution architectures.
  • Act as a bridge between the business and technology, providing technical leadership to development teams and ensuring they follow best practices and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mining haulage technologies and use them to design creative and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to connect our fleet management solutions to existing platforms and systems.
  • Analyze overlaps among our fleet management products and suggest ways to integrate them into a unified solution.
  • Review deployment processes and define a roadmap to align with company best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively addressing their concerns.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, such as system architecture diagrams and implementation guidelines.
  • Evaluate and refine current solutions, finding ways to optimize, scale, and improve performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience as a Solutions Architect, designing and implementing complex technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, software development methodologies, and cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of data sharing, configuration, security, and access control concepts.
  • Experience with machine learning, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to guide and mentor team members.
  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
