We are seeking a skilled journalist to join our fact-checking team in Brazil. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about current affairs, has expertise in navigating social networks and spotting emerging trends, and possesses sharp instincts and creative problem-solving skills.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying potential misinformation concerning politics, health or other topical issues and conducting research to establish the facts behind the claims. You will also write up your findings in clear, concise Portuguese copy and uphold our standards and Trust Principles.

To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Interest in current affairs and sound news judgment
  • Track record in identifying trending content
  • Deep familiarity with features of all leading social networks
  • Fluency in Portuguese and conversational English
  • A skeptical eye and inquisitive nature
