Accounting and Performance Monitoring

The role encompasses a wide range of duties related to accounting and monitoring of the company's performance. The successful candidate will participate in decision-making in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Assist in developing and implementing systems, procedures, and goals pertaining to accounting functions.
  • Lead internal control campaigns in cooperation with regional Internal Control Managers.
  • Review accounts accurately and efficiently for Brazil.
  • Maintain the accuracy of fixed assets (value, booking, flows, reconciliation) and their depreciation.
  • Manage all tax topics including tax return, sales & other taxes, state and federal audits.
  • Work with external advisors on transfer price reporting.
  • Prepare the reporting package (P&L) during each month and quarter-end close (balance sheet, P&L).
  • Supervise accounting and fiscal duties with accounting service providers.
  • Responsible for the monthly review of the P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  • Supervise bank activity including payments, monthly bank reconciliations, annual renewal of intercompany loan and cash forecast.
  • Challenge costs and allocations of costs with other company departments.
  • Analyze current trends in key performance indicators and causes of unexpected variance for revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor yearly and monthly targets in collaboration with Brand Executives.
  • Construct and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in monthly closing and analysis for the company.
  • Report monthly on financial information to HQ and management in a timely manner.
  • Validate local income statement and balance sheet.
  • Identify and analyze financial risks.
  • Provide regular input on key local topics.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis related to the current business or new projects.
