Energy Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Management Professional to join our team. As an Energy Management Professional, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining energy management systems platforms for real-time monitoring and control of generation units and transmission assets.

  • Familiarity with energy management systems platforms is required.
  • A strong understanding of transmission/generation system operations is necessary.

Your primary role will involve supporting generation control, frequency, and voltage regulation through energy management systems functionalities. You will also perform preventive and corrective maintenance on energy management software to ensure its optimal performance in both generation and transmission environments.

  • You will act as a liaison between the client and the energy management development team to ensure that customizations/applications adhere to technical specifications.
  • Providing technical support and training to operational and engineering teams is essential.
  • You will validate the energy management data model to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborating with SCADA system teams for proper integration is crucial.

Adjusting network and generation applications in real time is another key aspect of this role. Creating valid DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) models and testing DTS events with customers requires attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for optimizing generation dispatch, transmission flows, and system efficiency is also a vital responsibility.

  • You will provide support to project teams by assisting with troubleshooting, application data modeling, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintaining and organizing project documentation, including technical reports and drawings, is necessary.
  • Providing training to users and operators as needed is an essential part of this role.

Fluency in English is required for this position.

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a related field is required.
