Lightning Rounds Coordinator

We are seeking an individual to support our startup and investor matchmaking events in a part-time, remote role. This position will be responsible for ensuring the success of multiple events per year by managing logistics and recruitment.

This is an independent contractor position. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed professional capable of managing their own time, tools, and methods to deliver agreed-upon outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment and Matchmaking:
    • Filtering and sending one-on-one emails to hundreds of high-quality startups and investors per event.
    • Driving startup and investor signups to consistently meet or exceed matchmaking targets.
    • Reviewing startup profiles and investor theses to design curated matches that maximize quality and relevance.
  2. Logistics and Communications:
    • Managing backend Airtable configuration, communications with startups and investors, and coordination with staff.
    • Providing lead-up and day-of support for smooth event execution and excellent participant experience.
    • Serving as primary point of contact for participant inquiries.
  3. Support and Collaboration:
    • Supporting the Director of Lightning Rounds on outreach and logistical efforts.
    • Collaborating with teammates across multiple programs.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn Airtable.
  • Comfort with digital communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Gmail).
  • Attention to detail and persistence in managing high-volume outreach and administrative tasks.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to align startup applicants with relevant investor focus areas.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Candidate must have strong written communication skills and remain calm under pressure.
