Job Title: Senior Marine and Offshore Surveyor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Marine and Offshore Surveyor to join our team at Lloyd's Register in Brasil. As a key member of our marine and offshore surveyor team, you will be responsible for conducting critical surveys on diverse marine and offshore structures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance in the maritime industry.

About the Role: The successful candidate will have significant technical competence in existing ship associated statutory requirements, previous authorization to perform ISM, ISPS and MLC audits, and the ability to travel throughout the region and all over Brazil. You will also have the ability to discuss and present deliverables with internal and external clients, and suggest solutions as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct critical surveys on diverse marine and offshore structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Develop and implement effective survey plans to meet client needs.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of survey services.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior surveyors and other team members.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.

Requirements:

  1. A degree or equivalent within a relevant field of engineering study and registration on the Brazilian Engineering Council.
  2. A minimum of 10 years' experience working in the marine industry, including surveyor and auditor experience.
  3. Fluency in both Portuguese and English language (verbal and written).
  4. Thorough understanding of the local marine and offshore environment.
  5. Ability to participate in and add value to technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues.
