A Product Oversight Specialist is responsible for partnering with product managers and business leaders to provide strategic support in the development of products and services.
This involves active participation in projects and initiatives that impact the business, ensuring that product changes and expansions are properly implemented from a controllership and MIS perspective.
The specialist will be involved in the month-end/quarter-end close process for wholesale payments products, conducting detailed reviews of the monthly balance sheet and P&L, and preparing monthly PnL reports.
In-depth reviews of the balance sheet will ensure appropriate accounting treatment complying to US GAAP Corporate Accounting Policy, account classification, and controls. Liaising with the local team regarding LOCAL GAAP rules is also required.
The role requires developing strong relationships with the finance team within the region and globally to ensure effective inter-location partnerships and the sharing of best practices.
Key Requirements:
A professional qualification in accounting or business administration is required. At least 5 years of financial experience (including internship) is necessary. Microsoft skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint are required. Digital tool knowledge is a plus (Tableau, Alteryx).
The ability to deal with multiple tasks, organized, diligent on prioritizing and meeting key deliverables is crucial. The ability to take ownership and work independently, as well as on a team is necessary. Enthusiasm, high motivation, and effectiveness under tight timeframes and pressure are also required. Excellent communication and English skills together are necessary.
