Overview

The Lead SAP Consultant is instrumental in the success of project teams, whether by managing smaller initiatives, integrating segments of larger projects, or contributing as a team member. This role involves driving analytical processes, designing solutions, finalizing procedures, and addressing both process and technical challenges. The Lead SAP Consultant may also take on the responsibilities of a Team Leader, ensuring exceptional service quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position may require involvement in crafting detailed plans for specific functional or technical areas and supporting business development efforts through proposal contributions.

Key Responsibilities

1) Customer Engagement:

  • Facilitate customer discussions in business terminology to identify requirements.
  • Analyze client business workflows and design SAP solutions, transitioning logically from data to conclusions.
  • Lead workshops for process design, configuration, and assist clients during testing phases.
  • Exhibit creativity and thought leadership, substantiating proposed solutions with relevant experience.
  • Draft specifications and collaborate with developers as necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain high-level customer relationships by consistently delivering quality results on time.
  • Establish oneself as a trusted advisor in their area of expertise for both clients and colleagues.
  • Manage expectations of both clients and the organization.
  • Engage in pre-sales activities, demonstrating the ability to connect with clients regarding best practices and SAP functionalities.

2) Leadership Provision:

  • Oversee the deployment of consultants in the creation of Blueprint Documents, Specifications, Business Process Procedures, Test scenarios, End User Documentation, and User Manuals.
  • Utilize appropriate methodologies and tools for project implementation.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for potential candidates within the organization.

Additional Responsibilities

3) Project Development:

  • Assist in the formulation and execution of project plans, including release, knowledge transfer, and upgrade projects. This encompasses drafting project plans for specific functional or technical areas, detailing scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources, as well as preparing individual work plans.

4) Continuous Skill Development:

  • Regularly enhance SAP core competencies, industry-specific skills, and cross-functional expertise based on accumulated experience.

5) Mentorship:

  • Dedicate time to the professional growth of fellow consultants through coaching and mentoring, serving as a role model in customer service, problem-solving, and demonstrating high capability.

6) Additional Duties:

  • Undertake any other responsibilities aligned with the current role as required by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in core SAP modules.
  • Broad knowledge of complementary SAP modules.
  • Experience with multiple project implementations.
  • Ability to integrate proposed solutions across modules and with third-party systems.
  • Familiarity with the attune Implementation methodology.
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior experience in a SAP consulting role.
  • At least 4 complete project life cycles in a SAP consulting capacity.
  • Experience in the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry for a minimum of 3 years.

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or recognized professional qualifications.
  • Formal training or certification in core SAP modules is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate within teams; interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, results orientation, conceptual thinking, and an innovative mindset.
  • Willingness to embrace new initiatives and technologies.
