The opportunity: Data Engineer Role

The Data Engineer will be responsible for leading and powering data-driven decisions and leveling-up the data and analytics tools of our organization. By leveraging new technology, our data engineering team ensures that all stakeholders in the organization can efficiently access reliable and accurate data. Data engineers will develop, implement, and refine the standards, tools, and methodologies that make up the desired analysis environment within the organization. Their expertise will help create a strong data foundation within our organization that keeps everyone informed and moving forward.

  • Defining and implementing scalable and flexible data analytics architecture based on current and future business needs mainly utilizing Databricks platform
  • Build and optimize complex data pipelines, and ETL processes for processing large-scale datasets
  • Integration, consolidation, cleansing and structuring of large data sets to enable business insights, reporting and ML/AI use cases
  • Delivering business insights by consolidating various data sources to understand business performance (e.g. sales data, customer satisfaction data, digital analytics data)
  • Sourcing, collecting and researching new internal and open-source external data sets
  • Defining and implementing data governance processes
  • Plan and prepare data engineering and analysis work between technical teams
  • Engage with business stakeholders to prepare and coordinate data sharing and delivery

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing data analytics solutions, as well as experience working with cloud-based platforms such as Databricks. They should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
