Job Summary

We seek a visionary leader to oversee our Security Operations team. As Head of Security Operations, you will be responsible for driving our global cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the integrity and security of our infrastructure and product deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team of security professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to drive excellence in our security practices.
  • Develop and implement our SecOps security standards and playbooks, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the architecture and design of our Security Operations Center (SOC), leveraging your expertise in logging, firewalls, network segmentation, and honeypots.
  • Analyze and improve our security architecture, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective mitigations.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new security tools and practices, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Identify, contain, and remediate security threats and cyber attacks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize impact.
  • Grow our presence and thought leadership in the cybersecurity community, contributing to open-source threat intelligence initiatives.
  • Drive threat modeling, tabletop exercises, and other SecOps practices across Engineering, Information Security, and the organization.
  • Develop learning and development materials for our SecOps team, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Publish blog posts, whitepapers, and conference presentations, sharing your expertise with the wider cybersecurity community.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for our SecOps team, ensuring measurable success.
  • Plan and deliver SecOps work within the framework of our agile engineering practice, aligning with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of mitigating advanced threats from nation-state actors.
  • In-depth technical understanding of SOCs, including strategies for logging, firewalls, network segmentation, and honeypots.
  • Expertise in Linux security, with a strong foundation in operating system fundamentals.
  • Ability to define, implement, automate, and measure effective incident response playbooks.
  • Knowledge of security architecture and market-leading security tools, with experience in security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF.
  • Experience contributing to and consuming threat intelligence feeds, with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape.
  • Exceptional academic track record, with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path.
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations, with a deep personal motivation to stay at the forefront of technology security.
  • Leadership and management ability, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business English writing and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise language.

This role reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
