Power Trading Portfolio Manager

This is a challenging and dynamic role for an experienced power trading professional to join our team in Brazil. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the Brazilian power market, including trading strategies, regulatory changes, and market conditions.

Job Description:

As a Power Trading Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our power portfolio in the Brazilian market. This includes analyzing market conditions, supply and demand dynamics, and regulatory changes to optimize the trading portfolio for maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market conditions, supply and demand dynamics, and regulatory changes to optimize the power trading portfolio for maximum profitability
  • Monitor and evaluate power market developments, including price trends, policy changes, and emerging opportunities
  • Price short and long-term products presented by Originators and Traders
  • Propose effective trading strategies, encompassing spot and forward trading, hedging, and derivatives trading, to achieve portfolio objectives
  • Generate regular reports on portfolio performance and market outlook to senior management

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree within Finance, Economics, or Engineering
  • Experience in the Brazilian power trading market or generation markets
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
