Cloud Operations and Engineering Specialist

The role of Cloud Reliability Engineer focuses on ensuring the high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems. This involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex distributed systems and infrastructure in a cloud environment.

This position is ideal for those who enjoy working with various cloud technologies such as AWS and Google Cloud, have experience with scripting and automation using Python and Scala, and are familiar with microservices architecture and container technologies like Kubernetes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and administer solutions contributing to customer cloud infrastructure's operational efficiency, availability, and visibility.
  • Design and implement efficient architectures for cloud applications, taking into account scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis reports for outages/incidents (ITIL - Problem Management)
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and services.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation in an escalation capacity.
Requirements
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python and Scala.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, like Docker.
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
