Job Title: Big Data Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in tools such as Snowflake, MySQL, and Kafka. You should also have experience working with Python, particularly in Linux environments.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This is a full-time position, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data systems
  • Develop and maintain databases using Snowflake and MySQL
  • Work with Kafka to build real-time pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python, especially in Linux environments
  • Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in Snowflake and MySQL
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency with Python data libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, S3, and CloudWatch
