Regional Finance Director

Leading the regional finance team and ensuring compliance with accounting, regulatory and tax requirements is a key aspect of this role.

This position involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure financial compliance. You will pilot the finance capabilities steering the ship in the right direction, controlling local audits, outsource firms, and financial regulatory relationships.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of Brazil financial reporting standards and IFRS, coupled with expertise in financial resources controls and industry-specific regulatory rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pilot the finance capabilities steering the ship in the right direction.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure financial compliance.
  • Review monthly and quarterly financials.
Requirements

• The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance professional with a background in financial controlling, audit, advisory, or management accounting within Banking, FinTech, or financial services.

• Deep understanding of Brazil financial reporting standards and IFRS, coupled with expertise in financial resources controls and industry-specific regulatory rules.

• Skilled at data analysis, improving controls and internal processes, and managing complex stakeholder groups.

• As a finance business partner, you provide commercial insights, support decisions, and align with business strategy.

• Thrive in a flexible environment, working with various teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.

• Self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable with uncertainty, able to organise your work with minimal guidance.

• Own being the Financial Director for Wise Brazil, ensuring compliance as per the regulatory requirements established by the Central Bank of Brazil.

This is a hybrid role based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
