OB GYN Department Head

Role Overview:

This leadership role oversees and directs OB GYN services, ensuring high-quality care delivery. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance, supervise staff, and maintain an active clinical practice while allocating time for administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize care efficiency and effectiveness of Women's Health services, incorporating evidence-based care standards.
  • Lead governance and performance management of direct reports, including peer review, progressive disciplinary actions, and disruptive behavior management.
  • Round on providers to address clinical and practice issues, advocating for their interests.
  • Plan, organize, and direct OB GYN services, managing administrative functions such as on-call schedules, scheduled absences, and staff evaluation.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency training program in the field of OB GYN is required.
  • Master's in Public Health, MBA, or MA are preferred but not required.
  • Possess highly advanced knowledge, skills, and ability in medicine and management of diverse clinical units.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interfacing with providers, staff, and management.
