Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective procurement practices to drive strategy development for the animal protein category
  • Establish and maintain robust supplier relationships, leveraging market opportunities and mitigating risks
  • Stay informed about market trends, regulatory updates, and capacity fluctuations, taking proactive steps to manage risk and capitalize on opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of category management, including strategy development, negotiation, spend analysis, capacity management, risk management, and supplier relationship management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to initiate and lead projects aimed at enhancing quality, service, and cost efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 15 years of experience in animal protein sourcing within a consumer goods company operating in a direct manufacturing environment
  • Extensive expertise in protein sourcing, particularly in poultry
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, driving collaboration and influencing outcomes
