Supplier Qualification Specialist

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe production of food and feed. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address customer requirements and concerns, and conduct audits to ensure established quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish key performance indicators and develop supplier scorecards.
  • Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely execution and partner notification.
  • Audit production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Work closely with multifunctional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
  • Ensure compliance with formal external and internal quality standards.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to new team members.
Qualifications:
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineer, Food Engineer, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience in food safety, quality, and auditing systems.
    • Minimum of two years of related work experience.
    • Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and FSSC 22000/GMP+.
    • Experience in conducting food safety audits.
    • Professional language proficiency in English both written and verbal.
    • Ability to travel up to 10%.
    • Car driver license.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Ability to objectively evaluate food safety systems and report findings in an organized manner.
    • Understanding of how to establish material risk and appropriate mitigation.
    • Food safety auditor.
    • Spanish intermediate level.
