About the Role
  • We are seeking a database administration professional responsible for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience mainly in SQL-Server and possess knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards. The role encompasses both strategic and operational duties, including efficient data storage, maintaining access reliability, and protection against data loss or unauthorized access.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and maintain high-performance database servers.
  2. Implement high-availability scenarios (AON, replication).
  3. Develop processes for optimizing database security and compliance.
  4. Establish and enforce database standards.
  5. Manage user access to databases.
  6. Tune database systems for optimal performance.
  7. Install, upgrade, and manage database applications and tools.
  8. Diagnose and troubleshoot database issues and errors.
  9. Identify and resolve urgent or critical matters affecting terminal operations.
  10. Research and recommend emerging database technologies and trends.
  11. Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards for database insights.
  12. Automate repetitive database tasks using scripts and tools.

Additional responsibilities may include other tasks appropriate to the role.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • Over three years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
  • MCSE/MCSA certifications are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is valuable.
  • Adaptable to diverse cultures and environments.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for work.
