Operations Manager Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is a key role that oversees the efficient and effective operation of our beverage production facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all operations are aligned with company goals and objectives, and that high-quality products are consistently produced.

Key Responsibilities:
- Align priorities with regional teams to achieve operational excellence
- Develop and implement action plans to improve quality and food safety
- Lead the development and execution of innovation projects with bottlers and suppliers
- Evaluate plant capacity utilization and develop new co-packers or participate in bottler expansion projects
- Support frontline and bottling partner teams in executing annual operating plans
- Lead productivity initiatives and identify best practices to reduce costs
- Lead innovation projects agenda close to bottlers
- Conduct field tests with suppliers for productivity, innovation, and quality & food safety
- Build and analyze engineering evaluations for Capex and process improvements
- Ensure beverage concentrated kits stock and supply according to production plan
- Support financial team with P&L projections for new projects

Impact Areas:
- Quality and Food Safety: Coordinate FS and QAS results on 3C, leading respective actions plans to have all plants out of the red zone
- Manage critical data required for follow-ups and operations reports
- Deploy new quality & food safety policies and PepsiCo manuals to bottlers
- Monitor compliance of mandatory requirements for raw material, manufacturing process, and food safety
- Coordinate bottler ingredient water analysis, leading root cause identification and action plans to mitigate risks
- Support implementation of food safety audits and follow-ups
- Lead capability quality agenda by organizing training to sustain and improve quality scores in LAB-South region

Pepsi+:
- Align sustainability metrics with bottlers
- Align and lead AOP plans and priorities with bottlers and the PepsiCo Region
- Monitor results and accomplishment of Pep+ goals
- Share best practices with bottlers to improve Pep+ objectives and KPIs
- Lead PepsiCo process of test and approval for recycle PET usage on bottle to bottle
- Line Start-up and Qualification: Lead new CSD & Hot Fill line qualification
- Organize and submit detailed reports and documents for QA approval

Productivity:
- Drive bottler productivity initiatives leveraging PepsiCo best practices
- Identify best-in-class opportunities applicable locally
- Review and organize documentation (plant test report, transport report, laboratory test reports, etc.) and submit to R&D for approval related to packaging or ingredients
- Be project leader of Productivity initiatives in the Stage Gate Process

Innovation:
- Lead pilot and lab tests, plant scale-up, line qualification, transport, and stack test
- Evaluate necessary equipment, Capex, and time-line
- Sample coordination shipments and receiving
- Ingredients order for field tests
- Review and organize documentation (plant test report)
