This is a pivotal role where you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on higher education. As the College Development Director, you will play a vital part in two key areas: portfolio management and strategic program development. In portfolio management, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify, cultivate, and solicit support for college priorities. You will also contribute to the overall fundraising strategy by gathering data, planning events, developing communications, and engaging volunteers.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned prospects to secure financial support for college and university priorities. This includes taking a leadership role in recruitment, engagement, solicitation, and management of specific projects, programs, and volunteer leadership groups.

You will work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to develop and maintain reports on assigned projects and performance of pipeline, prospect activity, and fundraising for assigned projects. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with internal and external partners. With your ability to work independently and as part of a team, you will contribute to the success of the university's mission.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. They will have three to five years of related work experience, a proven track record of success in fundraising or a related field, and excellent organizational and project management skills.

This position is responsible for driving university-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver's License and a good driving record is required. The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor. Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position.
